Join artist Lama Altakruri for a workshop that invites you to look at everyday places, like your favorite café, in a new way. These ordinary spaces are full of hidden stories, personal memories, and clues about the world we live in. Through activities like writing prompts, drawing, and rubber stamping, you’ll create your own visual pieces inspired by your daily life. You’ll experiment with combining words and images to reflect your thoughts, feelings, and observations, and build your own “visual vocabulary” along the way.
This workshop is for anyone who’s curious about art, storytelling, or just wants to slow down and see the everyday with fresh eyes.

Collaging the Kitchen - Richi Bhatia

In this workshop, participants will explore their personal stories and identities through recipes and dishes, using images, poetry/text, and knowledge passed down through the experiences of eating, cooking, conversing, and preparing meat.
Led by artist Richi Bhatia, participants will reflect on how their identity is shaped by food, whether through family traditions, travels, or a special liking for a particular dish. Through guided exercises, including writing and collage, we will focus on the sights, smells, tastes, and memories that surround food. Together, will uncover the traditions, family stories, and even myths connected to certain recipes.
